On October 20, 2022, the Tomsk Regional Court found physi­cist Alexander Lukanin guilty of trea­son (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). Taking into account Article 64 of the Criminal Code, which pro­vides for the impo­si­tion of a more lenient pun­ish­ment than pro­vid­ed, he was sen­tenced to 7,5 years in a max­i­mum secu­ri­ty prison and restric­tion of free­dom for two years.
